Middleton Lodge Estate Wedding Videographer

Cinematic wedding videography at Middleton Lodge Estate — walled garden ceremonies, Fig House dinners and golden hour across the Georgian parkland.

Filming a Middleton Lodge Estate wedding

Middleton Lodge Estate is one of those rare venues where a wedding videographer never has to force a frame. The Georgian estate sits in 200 acres just outside Richmond, and the whole day is built around movement — the Walled Garden for vows, the Fig House for dinner, the Coach House for dancing, and long gravel walks between them where couples finally exhale and talk to each other again. Those walks are where the honest moments live, and they are always in the film.

I usually arrive while the estate is still quiet. The bridal suites hold beautiful north light, so preparation footage is soft and unlit — no flash, no set-up, just the room as it actually was. Downstairs, the courtyard fills slowly with guests, and I film the arrivals as a documentary sequence: the hugs, the hat adjustments, the nervous glance towards the arch.

Light, sound and the Walled Garden

Ceremonies in the Walled Garden are exposed to open sky, which means beautiful, even light but also wind. I record vows with discreet lapel and backup audio so your promises survive the Yorkshire breeze — your ceremony sound is half of a wedding film, and it is the half most couples say they were not expecting to love.

Golden hour at Middleton Lodge is genuinely special. The lime avenue and the field beyond the Fig House catch the last of the sun and give you five minutes of the most cinematic footage of the day. I will always steal you away for those five minutes, then hand you straight back to your party.

Why couples book me for Middleton Lodge

I know the estate, the team and the timings, so I work quietly around your day rather than directing it. I travel to Richmond regularly from my base in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, so North Yorkshire weddings carry no surprise travel costs on your quote.

Every Middleton Lodge film is graded to match the estate's warm stone and greenery — never over-saturated, never trend-led. In ten years it should still look like your wedding, not like the year you got married.
